Responsible Gaming

This page covers what this site can and cannot do to help a reader gamble safely, and what practical steps are within a reader's own control. www.cuvaswim.com is a set of static pages: it lists operators and links out to them, and it links to independent help organisations, but it has no account system of its own.

What this build cannot do: account controls

Tools such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion are settings inside an operator's account. This site has no account, no form and no server-side application behind it, so nothing published here can turn any of those controls on, check their status or enforce them. If a reader wants any of these in place, they need to be set up at the destination, inside the account held there, because that is the only place they actually exist. Similarly, nobody's age is checked on this site and no gambling happens on these pages; any age check takes place at the destination once a reader follows an operator link. The eighteen-and-over restriction is stated on the front page and repeated at the end of every operator listing here, but stating it is not the same as verifying it. Each of the 10 operator listings also closes with a reminder to check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, since eligibility rules and terms belong to that operator and can change without notice. This site carries no advertising or behavioural profiling network, so nothing here is targeted at a reader based on prior activity.

Practical habits: before playing

Decide the amount to spend before starting, and treat it as already gone the moment play begins — this removes the pressure of watching a "live" balance and makes the outcome easier to accept either way. Never chase a loss by increasing a stake to recover it; the amount already spent has no bearing on future results. Keep gambling money separate from money that is borrowed or needed elsewhere, so a losing session cannot turn into a debt. Take regular breaks to keep decisions deliberate rather than automatic. If gambling stops feeling like entertainment, involve someone else early — a friend, family member, or one of the organisations linked below — rather than waiting for the situation to worsen.

Independent help: where linked

Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations: gambleaware.nsw.gov.au, gamblinghelponline.org.au, and responsiblegambling.vic.gov.au. These are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial: unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking, are set to nofollow, and open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when a reader follows them.
